The Ajax Academy has started this past year to help prepare players to be a part of a competitive club organization. The easiest way for this to happen is for Ajax to have the opportunity to coach and educate players between the ages of 5-9. This approach will allow Ajax to provide the developmental bridge between recreational and competitive soccer. Along the way we believe that the enjoyment of the game will be realized through the focus on fun and participation. Coaches during training sessions will focus on the content of the 1st phase of the development of the Ajax player; Age of Fun. The content of each session is delivered in a way so that basic technique, sports performance and fun are intertwined. During the months of August - November the Ajax Academy is run on Wednesday and Friday nights from 6 - 7. From January - February the Ajax Academy will be playing Futsal at the Boys & Girls club in Simi Valley. The Academy will then start back up in the spring between the months of March and May to start the First APSL season. All training sessions are held at Rancho Santa Susana Field 2. |
